Based in our LEBANON, MISSOURI location, you will provide top-level leadership as the Plant Manager for Emerson's Air Conditioning compressor plant in Lebanon, Missouri. You will also be responsible for developing and leading a culture that drives behaviors which build trust and achieve results. This includes daily leadership of manufacturing operations, materials, safety, quality, manufacturing engineering and all other support functions for achieving plant operational goals and for developing strategies that facilitate growth, deliver peak margins and material velocity. You will continuously balance customer, employee and shareholder needs to drive the business forward. The Plant Manager reports directly to the Director of Air Conditioning Operations and will collaborate closely with peers at other plants, the Business Unit, and the Commercial and Residential platform level. AS THE PLANT MANAGER YOU WILL:

Implement and manage cost-effective process improvements, capital and operating expenditures, manpower levels, scheduling and shipping. Lead regular safety, lean, 5S inspections and audits; review performance to targets, pursue root cause analysis and countermeasure steps to correct any abnormal conditions. Participate in sales, inventory and operations planning sessions to develop operations objectives in support of organizational goals and customer support. Establish long-term plans to achieve continuous improvement in all plant functions utilizing lean enterprise tools. Model high standards of honesty and integrity, and assure others think and act similarly. Recognize and celebrate the contributions of the team. Tackle difficult issues with optimism and confidence. REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Previous Plant Manager experience in small or medium size operation. B.S. degree in technical, engineering or business discipline or equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Ten (10) years of operations and/or business-related experience and proven record of progressive levels of leadership in business, technical or manufacturing management roles. Effective communicator and change agent with focus on the customer. Strong analytical and data management skills. Excellent people management and time management skills. Strong interpersonal skills enabling cooperation in a team-oriented and matrix environment. Excellent communication skills including written, verbal and presentation ability. High quality decision making even in the face of uncertainty or when incomplete information is available. Hands-on leader who possesses a high level of drive, integrity, accountability and energy to connect with all levels of employees. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word. Fluency in English. Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this role. PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Experience with customer facing engagement. Graduate level education in business, technical or engineering discipline. Certified in Lean and/or Six Sigma. Relevant business insight into the high volume mechanical or automotive type manufacturing. Relevant business insight into the HVAC-R industry and customer needs. Experience with deployment of automation.
Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
Minimum Qualification
Process Management, Plant & Facilities ManagementEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
